Puerto Rican sensation Xander Zayas is a new wave in the world of pro boxing. He has steadily garnered attention from umpteen elites in his only four professional bouts.
After riding on an 11-year-long glittery amateur career, Zayas became a pro in 2019. To everyone’s shock, he left no doubts in his debut and knocked out Genesis Wynn to make a huge statement.

The 17-year-old is one of the most promising assets of Top Rank Boxing. No wonder TR validated the statement with the recent video.
The official Twitter handle of TR boxing posted a clip where Zayas is spotted punching the punch-machine. Noticeably, the Puerto Rican did not even have to see the machine to land those clean shots.

Zayas had a smile on his face throughout the video as he faced the camera. However, he did not miss out on a single jab in the process.
While it was just mere video footage, there’s no denying that Zayas carries immense KO power in his fists. In his four professional victories till now, Zayas has notched three of them via knockouts.
However, he still has a long way to go in the boxing community before cementing himself as an elite in the international scenario.
Zayas in Pro Boxing
After a stellar debut against Genesis Wynn, Zayas returned a month later to knockout Virgel Windfield.
While two back-to-back KOs brought him to the limelight, Zayas’ consistent activity is also worth hailing. Since his debut in October 2019 to February 2020, Zayas competed four times, winning all of his fights.
His second last victim Corey Champion was the only one to take the fight till judge’s scorecards. However, Zayas notched a comfortable victory there too. In his last appearance against Marklin Bailey, the young prodigy tuned back in his former style and knocked out Bailey.
As per the reports of BOX Rec, Zayas will reappear in action again in September. However, the venue, final date, and opponent are yet to be scheduled for him.
Till then, the Puerto Rican is having a great time in his gym amongst trainers.
