It turns out things aren’t all bad for Tyson Fury! In a recent twist, Fury’s adorable daughter claimed she liked Fury’s eye injury that postponed the undisputed clash. Earlier this year, news came out that the undisputed clash against Oleksandr Usyk, scheduled for February 17, was postponed to a later date.
The much-anticipated fight is now slated for May 18, later this year. The update came after the Saudi Organisers and Fury released a joint statement about the postponement. A gruesome cut had opened up above Fury’s right eye during a sparring session. However, glimpses of positivity shine through as Paris Fury shared a clip on her Instagram story today, showing Fury with his kids.

Hopping on the social media platform, Fury’s wife shared the clip with a caption reading, “Dads poor eye…Athena “I love it.” Meanwhile, in the clip, Fury can be seen talking to his daughter as his other kids surround him. When Fury asks her daughter, “Do you see me bad eye,” his daughter responds, “I love it!”
It’s also worth mentioning that Turki Alalshikh has imposed a $1 million penalty on the fighter who skipped out on the newly decided fight date. However, that is unlikely to happen, as Fury himself was devastated about the postponement of the fight, as evident from the statement released to the public. Moreover, while Fury is enjoying some downtime with his daughter, Usyk recently revealed he had to miss out on a significant moment of his life for the fight.

The highly talked about fight between Usyk and Fury has been long in the making. It has been postponed three times at this point. First, in April 2023, when the fight talks came close but fell apart at the last moment. Second, after Fury edged a victory over the surprisingly resilient Francis Ngannou. And third, of course, recently after the eye injury.
Meanwhile, a report from BBC Sport revealed that Usyk had missed his second child’s birth on 28 January because of the training camp. Despite that, Usyk claimed, “I’m still happy – things happen, it’s life.” He added, “I’m very happy because I now go to Ukraine. I see my two daughters and my wife. I go to my church and pray. A little bit of rest and back to my camp.”
