Outdoor lifestyle influencer Tristan Hamm loved living a life on the edge. He carries that feeling of joie de vivre into the ring as well. After his sensational debut early this year, a defeat followed. However, that hasn’t dampened the spirits of ‘Mr. Adventure’. Instead, he seems to be back in the ring, preparing for his next fight. The clip of him training in a ring with his coach seems to have caught the attention of only a few. It has yet to grab the viral attention one would expect from a Tristan Hamm video.
There’s no information as to who the crossover boxing celebrity with 2 million Instagram followers will fight next. But from the few comments that appeared in the thread, it seems there’s a name that some of the fans might want him to square up against. Fans can gauge his seriousness for his next ring adventure by the trainer he has chosen to prepare him.

What some of the fans might have noticed is the person he is training with. It’s none other than the venerable boxing coach, Dr. Pedro Diaz. As sports diehards should be able to recall, he was the long-time training in-charge of two-time Olympic gold medalist and former world champion Guillermo Rigondeaux.
Probably the tweet has to catch the attention of the fans. But a name did make an appearance; a few users mentioned it as a potential opponent for Tristan Hamm. It was that of ‘Mist’, or better yet, Rhys Thomas Sylvester, the Birmingham-born rapper-turned crossover boxer (1-0).

‘Mr. Adventure’ made a sensational debut on January 20. At the Misfits and DAZN’s X Series 12 in Leeds’s First Direct Arena, he knocked out the Iowan TikToker Rodney Peterson, who is more popularly known as ‘Not Logan Paul’. The knockout and probably Logan Paul‘s name helped Hamm make a sensational debut. He returned to the ring four months later to face former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell. But perhaps Hamm’s luck had run its course.
The match at the Misfits and DAZN X Series 15 in Texas went the distance, only for the former American football player to emerge victorious by a unanimous decision. So it’s possible the influencer-turned boxer may want to turn the tables in the third professional fight.
The path of a modern warrior
Speaking to the New York Post last month, the 32-year-old called himself the ‘jack of all trades. Talking about boxing, the conservation influencer strongly believes that the crossover boxing format is what the traditional sport will eventually evolve into. According to him, it is not the sport but the television that has brought the sport to a halt. “Everyone says ‘boxing is dying,’ boxing is not dying. TV is dying. And TV is what was building boxing,” he said.

Defending influencer-crossover boxing, he said, “[Influencers] have traditionally gotten a bad rap. They’re just kids screaming at each other in people’s ideas of what they are. But in reality, it’s people that believe that they want to become a professional fighter, they have value; people want to watch them; they can sell tickets; they can get views; they’re entertaining; and they’re bringing new audiences to boxing.”

Born in Manitoba, Tristan Hamm eventually moved to the grizzly backyard in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. The first trade he tried, his hand, was far removed from social media, let alone boxing. Reportedly, at age 16, he started working as a fabrication welder at a pipeline construction company. However, the opportunity gave him a chance to explore the wild Yukon. In the mid-2010s, when social media started gaining currency, he established ‘Revived Outdoors’, an adventure company. Through his company, Hamm has helped organize a variety of philanthropic projects that he follows keenly.
Fans would certainly be watching out for how his boxing adventure proceeds.
