Lopez certainly isn’t short on options in terms of other lightweight match-ups that are appealing on a broader level. Furthermore, there’s no doubt that Lomachenko’s stock took a massive hit due to his recent loss in the eyes of the fans. Chiefly, despite his championship status, he’ll likely have to earn a statement KO or two in order to regain his spotlight. On the other hand, Teofimo is undoubtedly in the driver’s seat to square-off against the top lightweights of his choosing.
