Garcia had to pull out of his June 9 bout against Javier Fortuna. ‘King Ry’ cited mental health issues for his decision. Since then, Garcia got back to training and even assured fans he would fight the depression and anxiety. And now, he has given an update on his situation.
The 21-0 boxer took to his Instagram account and posted a picture and a video reminding fans of his progress. The picture showed Garcia is in shape, whereas, in the video, we see ‘King Ry’ destroying the heavy bad with ease.

Moreover, in his caption, Garcia said he felt a lot of things, and that anxiety tried to ‘kill’ him. However, he assured fans he’s ready to go by ending the caption with, “LETS GOO.” Thus, we could see Garcia back in the ring soon.

When could Ryan Garcia return?
Looking at his post, it is clear to see Garcia is preparing for training camp. The undefeated star has always said he stays in shape throughout the year. And given that he is getting over his mental struggles, we could see him back soon. So when will his comeback happen?
Fans could see Garcia back as early as August. If Garcia can fight in August or September, he could also get in another fight at the end of the year. However, if the WBC interim champion delays until October, then fans will only get to watch him compete once this year.

The front runner as his next opponent is fellow young superstar Rolando Romero, who has already publicly announced he will face Ryan Garcia next. However, there is no confirmation yet.
