Last year, it was April 22, and the opponent was then Gervonta Davis (now Abdul Wahid). Roughly a year later, on April 20, it will be Devin Haney. Ryan Garcia has been moving from one big fight to another. Undoubtedly, he is busy as hell, since he wouldn’t want to repeat the outcome. But it doesn’t mean there’s no playtime either.
Both Haney and Garcia go back a long way to their amateur days. They will be meeting for the first time as professionals. ‘KingRy’ would be staking a claim to ‘The Dream’s December acquisition of the WBC light welterweight title. His schedule might be well-planned and follow a precise structure. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle, Ryan Garcia skillfully carves out moments to indulge in activities close to his heart. At least a video that is increasingly gaining traction might serve as good evidence to support this claim.

A few hours ago, Happy Punch, through its Instagram account, shared a clip with the caption, ‘Ryan Garcia is dropping music‘. It shows a happy ‘KingRy’, swinging to loud music, all standing inside a ring. It seems the Californian boxer got a taste of his never-before-seen number at YouTuber-turned-live streamer Rangesh Mutama, aka N3On‘s live broadcast. @happypunch wrote, “Ryan Garcia just previewed his unreleased music on N3on’s stream.”

However, as could be expected, with increasing numbers of followers receiving the update, the comment box is filled, resulting in a mixed bag of reactions. To a few, it was an obvious question: “…doin everything but training.” However, some of the die-hard fans did manage to jump in and say a few words in support of their icon.
It seems like Ryan Garcia broke into an impromptu dance during the extensive interview with N3On. The Youtuber-turned-live streamer uploaded the full video on YouTube early today.

After the crushing defeat he suffered at the hands of ‘Tank’, Garcia bounced back, scoring an emphatic victory over Oscar Duarte. Soon after, he made it clear that he wanted big fights. The fight with Devin Haney comes nearly a month after the two sides sat down for discussions initially. Subsequent days saw ‘KingRy’ shifting from one potential opponent to another. It was Haney, then Rolando Romero, followed by Jose Ramirez. Reportedly, there was a call-out to Isaac Cruz as well.
Terms might appear a bit strained for both sides, with last week’s fracas at the Super Bowl Radio Row. However, fans can at least heave a sigh of relief that they have a big fight to look up to.
