Watch: Roy Jones Jr Gives Live Performance, Sings at International Boxing Association’s Event in Tajikistan

Apart from his boxing career, Roy Jones Jr. has achieved success as a musician as well. Over the years, Jones has released multiple albums, including ‘Body Head Bangerz’ in 2003 and ‘Go Hard or Go Home’ in 2008. He has even collaborated with various well-known hip-hop artists, such as Busta Rhymes, Trick Daddy, Notorious B.I.G., 50 Cent, and Ludacris. Recently, he got an opportunity to showcase his musical talents live in front of the boxing world.

Jones Jr. performed at the IBA Champions Night in Dushanbe. The grand event had invited Jones Jr., a boxing legend to hype up the crowd and he did a magnificent job with it. Let us look at the performance of the former champion.

In a professional title fight at IBA Champions’ Night in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on February 16th, two IBA World champions, Russia’s Sharabutdin Ataev and Loren Alfonso Domingues representing Azerbaijan, will compete to determine the IBA Pro World Cruiserweight Champion in a 10-round bout. In the weigh-in for the fight, Jones Jr. entered in a grand fashion, being lowered down onto the stage in a square-shaped glass structure. As he sang, the crowd cheered.

IBA even posted a glimpse of it on their Instagram page captioned “Tonight in Dushanbe! The official weigh-in for the highly anticipated IBA Champions Night featuring special guest Roy Jones Jr”. The IBA Champions Night: Sharabutdin Ataev vs Loren Alfonso Domingues

The IBA Champions’ Night in Dushanbe on February 16th, 2024, features a match between Russian Sharabutdin Ataev and Loren Alfonso Domingues from Azerbaijan. This will determine the IBA Pro World Cruiserweight Champion in a 10-round match. Moreover, the professional title bout is a rematch. It follows their clash at the IBA World Boxing Championships in Tashkent in May 2023, where Ataev emerged victorious. Ataev leads their personal contest with two wins out of three meetings. There is also a line-up of matches that follow.

Additionally, IBA World champion Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov faces Luis Rodrigues Ocaña in a 10-round challenge for the IBA Eliminator World Championship in the 57kg category. Various other championship and rating fights are scheduled, promising an exciting night of boxing action.
