Canelo Alvarez had a cracking boxing run in 2021 and is expected to have an even better fight year in 2022. A few days back, Canelo’s fight with the WBA light heavyweight champion, Dmitry Bivol got announced and since then he has been trending all over the internet.

Also, the p4p best fighter recently took part in a press conference wherein he was on the stage with promoter Eddie Hearn.

Before everything kicked off, Hearn and Canelo were seen in a light banter on stage. Later, Alvarez came in his boxing stance, trying to punch the Matchroom boss wittily. On the other hand, Hearn seemed prepared to face Canelo’s wrath, but he also remained evidently scared towards Alvarez showing off his prowess.

The two men collected each other quickly as the photographers asked them to pose for a photo. That said, it was all smiles on the stage and the vibe was exuberant.

Canelo inked a two-fight deal with Hearn‘s Matchroom and DAZN. Accordingly, he’ll first go up against Dmitry Bivol for his WBA title on May 7. Later, he’s expected to square off with Gennady Golovkin in a classic trilogy that will eventually settle the duo’s rivalry.

After becoming the undisputed 168-pound champ last year, everyone expected Canelo to scale up in weight. In fact, he also seemed on the line to fight at cruiserweight. But the Mexican boxer and his team ended up settling on the light heavyweight landscape.

Canelo Alvarez had a hectic 2021 and this year too, he’s expected to have a similar boxing run. Alvarez has two fights in contention, but his team is also targeting a third fight by December 2022.

Canelo is at the peak of his career, wherein he’s giving out performances for the history books. That said, fans will be at the edge of their seats to see him create magic inside the ring again.
