Boxing isn’t just about the pros chasing titles and big bucks anymore. These days, it’s something folks from all walks of life get into–even big shots like actor Chris Hemsworth. And Olympic bronze medalist Tony Jefferies? He’s all about it, kicking back and enjoying a clip of Hemsworth, throwing punches.

Beyond his various roles on the screen, including Marvel superhero Thor, Chris Hemsworth has been a fan of the sport since childhood. This is especially evident from all the training clips he has shared on his social media over the years. However, one seems to have caught Jeffries’ eye today! Which one is that? On December 7, 2020, the Hollywood icon shared a clip of his training in the art of sweet science alongside his trainer Luke Zocchi on Instagram, where he seems to be really active. He captioned the post writing, “Kickin the week off right with @zocobodypro @centrfit @82spaniard”. Meanwhile, in the clip, a shirtless and ripped Hemsworth can be seen throwing jabs and straights with extreme precision.

Reacting to this old clip, Jeffries stated, “Super star actor Chris Hemsworth, I actually used to train Chris”. Jeffries seems to have been immensely impressed by Hemsworth as he recalled the actor’s fitness, determination, and hunger for excellence, adding, “He got that body for a reason”.

Coming to the actor’s actual skills in the sport, Jeffries said, “Good form. The chin is a little bit high. But solid punches… I am impressed with Chris Hemsworth as I was when I was coaching with him”. Jeffries has been in the boxing scene all his life, so it’s safe to say Chris Hemsworth passed the test. However, the actor has stepped up his game, judging from a clip he dropped last year.

In the intense training video, Hemsworth can be seen throwing himself into some pad work as his trainer guided him through each shot. In the intense heat of Byron Bay, Australia, as the caption suggests, Hemsworth built up quite the sweat as he moved the training outdoors and got rid of his shirt, revealing the chiseled physique he is known for.

One may think all this could be for his roles in movies, but the truth is, he is a long-time fan of the sport. And as far as Tony Jeffries is concerned, Chris Hemsworth is pretty good at it. What did you think of the clips?
