Former cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk will go against Derek Chisora in his maiden-bout this Saturday.
Irrespective of the outcome, Chisora vs Usyk is already a fan-favorite fight, where different people have picked different sides. Although Usyk has got plenty of fans in his yard, many believe that Chisora will dismantle the Ukrainian in their upcoming clash. One of them is David Haye.
Since Usyk is still new to the division, Haye claims that he doesn’t have the power to settle with the heavyweights. Meanwhile, Chisora is a natural heavyweight who has dominated the division for a long time. Thus, Haye, along with many, considers him to be the aggressor over Usyk.

It further makes sense because Usyk saw Chisora knocking out Artur Szpilka in the second round of their clash last year. While the Ukrainian was sitting in the audience, he was left stunned by the brutal knockout. Here’s a glimpse.
Oleksandr Usyk and Vasyl Lomachenko react to Derek Chisora’s KO won over Artur Szpilka
In July 2019, Chisora faced Szpilka in a 12-round battle, but the fight ended in two. Chisora took very little time to outclass his opponent, and he did it horrifically.
While Szpilka was pushed to the corner in the second round, Chisora unleashed a one-sided assault on him. Following some jabs and an overhand right, Chisora fed Szpilka to the canvas, and it was a clean knockout victory for the Briton.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian veterans – Vasyl Lomachenko and Oleksandr Usyk – were present in the arena. They were captured speechless after the fight. While Chisora was celebrating his win, Usyk was left in disbelief.

The incident clearly intensifies their upcoming battle. However, Usyk has all the chances of continuing his undefeated run. He is one of the most technically sound boxers of the modern era.
