Mike Tyson is arguably one of the most popular athletes in all of history. His stardom goes way beyond the sport of boxing, making him an A-list celebrity.
After retiring from the sport of boxing, Mike Tyson has kept himself busy with various business opportunities, talk shows, exhibition boxing matches, and most recently his podcast, ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson’.
The former heavyweight champion is not only a great entertainer in the ring, but outside of it as well. Tyson once showed off his skills on the mic by giving a running commentary on Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a terrific goal against Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Copa Del Rey, back in 2013.

Clearly a fan of the sport, Tyson seemed locked in the moment he set his eyes on the screen.
“Well, I see this young man running with the ball, he’s picking up a lot of speed, but he’s unable to score because this guy is putting a great deal of pressure on him,” Tyson said. “He skips. No, he feints. He’s trying to score; no, he won’t score. No, it won’t happen. But it will now. Ronaldoooooo scores again!. He’s going to make it into the Hall of Fame of football, there’s no doubt about it.”
One can witness a visibly pumped Mike Tyson riling up the audience with his exclamation ‘Ronaldoo, Magnifico! A generational icon himself, it is heartwarming to see Mike Tyson praise Cristiano Ronaldo for his contribution to the sport of football.

Will Mike Tyson compete in a boxing match again?
Although ‘Iron’ Mike retired from professional boxing back in 2005 following a loss against Kevin McBride, the former champion has taken on a number of exhibition fights since then.
Most recently Tyson took on another boxing legend Roy Jones Jr in an eight-round exhibition boxing match, under the banner of his newly formed company “Legends only league”.
The bout which took place in the Staples center on the 28th of November 2020, ended with a draw. Nevertheless, Tyson looked sharp and strong for his age and while he certainly wasn’t as explosive as before, many believe he should have won the decision.
