Kendrick Lamar has been making headlines about his sparring session since 2019. When he got famous for it, TMZ Sports reported, “Kendrick went about four rounds of mitts on this outing — and he looked sharp all the way through.” Well, now Kendrick Lamar has again hopped inside the ring and showcased his progress in the last 5 years.
In the latest video uploaded by the ESNEWS, Kendrick Lamar was seen working the mitts with Coach Ivan. Lamar was trying to do punching combos that just included left jab, right jab, left jab, dodge, and repeat. This video instantly went viral among boxing fans, mainly because of his recent ongoing feud with the top three most renowned rappers of his generation, J. Cole and Drake.
While Kendrick Lamar typically avoids rap beef, he couldn’t ignore the situation after J. Cole and Drake collaborated on the song “First Person Shooters,” in which they boasted about their musical abilities, part of the video showed the two in a boxing ring.

Lamar responds to J. Cole and Drake
Kendrick Lamar, the king of cryptic rap, dropped a surprise verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s new album. And it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Aiming like a heat-seeking missile, Lamar targeted Drake and J. Cole in a blistering diss track. Social media became a digital coliseum, erupting with reactions.
A decade-old competition between these rappers reignited, the flames fanned by Lamar’s potent wordplay. “I still got PTSD, motherf*** the big three, it’s just big me,” he spat, venom lacing his voice. This was the reference to Cole’s earlier lyric in ‘First-Person Shooter’ where he talked about being part of the “big three.” After this track, J. Cole released a surprise album, ‘Might Delete Later’ with a diss track titled ‘7-Minute Drill’.
