In a recent video released by Matchroom Boxing, John Ryder’s coach, Dan Lawrence, was seen living in a caravan. During a segment of the video, Lawrence can be seen sweating profusely due to the heat and complaining about the living conditions.

When asked about the heat, Lawrence replied, “That is like a greenhouse in there.” The interviewer then asked if it was roasting in the caravan, to which Lawrence replied, “Welcome to my crib. Can you feel the heat in that? That is ridiculous.”

After being asked how long he would be staying in the caravan, Lawrence said, “Five days, It’s a long five days. Oh mate, that is hot in there.” When John Ryder asked if it was hot in the caravan, Lawrence’s response was less than enthusiastic, saying, “F*ck’s sake.”

It is not clear why Lawrence was living in a caravan during the fight camp, but it is clear that the living conditions were less than ideal. The conversation between Lawrence, the interviewer, and John Ryder highlights the extreme conditions that coaches and athletes sometimes endure in order to prepare for a fight.
