His mead movements, jabs, and footwork looked on point. Hence, it fetched him pretty good results in the early stage of the fight, especially against a veteran opponent. Berlanga saw some success in the first four rounds. He had staggered his rival, poleaxed him to an extent, and was already having an advantage on the scorecards. There weren’t many, but Berlanga utilized every gap he found. Nevertheless, he paid the price of going against an A-lister. Coceres landed big shots and knocked down Berlganga for the first time in round nine. It was shocking to see. Coceres shattered Berlganga even after that until the clock ended the round.
