On May 1, Chris Arreola will lock horns with the former unified heavyweight champion, Andy Ruiz Jr. in a 12-round bout. Both of them have stayed out of the game for almost a couple of years, and they’ll be looking ahead to make an exemplary statement in this comeback fight.
This contest is almost on the brink of taking place, and both the pugilists have given their best shot in the preparations for this clash. Recently, PBC released a training video of Chris Arreola, wherein the veteran was seen giving the last touches to his training camp.

In his last fight, Arreola suffered a lopsided defeat against Adam Kownacki. With this loss, he abruptly stayed out of the sport and didn’t really have the thoughts of coming back. But as soon as his matchup with Andy Ruiz Jr. got teased, ‘The Nightmare’ didn’t give a second thought about making his return.
On the other side, ‘The Destroyer’ shook the entire fight world in the summer of 2019 when he knocked Joshua out in round 7 of the fight. That fight is still considered one of the biggest upsets in modern-day boxing history.
Andy Ruiz Jr. too will enter this fight with a loss in his previous outing against the stout Anthony Joshua in their second fight.
Despite suffering defeats in each of their last in-ring contests, both Ruiz Jr. and Arreola will enter this bout with an optimistic mindset, thus looking to add a crucial ‘W’ to their name.
