Canelo Alvarez’s coach, Eddie Reynoso, posted the video to his Instagram. The first clip showed Alvarez enjoying a relaxed dance with the former heavyweight champion’s son. This showed the Mexican is in good spirits ahead of his unification bout.

The second clip in the post featured Alvarez teaching Andy Ruiz Jr. Mayweather’s trademark shoulder roll. The two were shadow boxing, and then Alvarez attacked ‘Destroyer’ as he attempted to recreate the shoulder roll. Alvarez also corrected him till he got the hang of it.

This video showed the helping nature of Canelo Alvarez. Despite having his own preparations, he is assisting Ruiz Jr. with his return against Chris Arreola on May 1. This is not the first time Alvarez has turned into a coach for Ruiz Jr. So why is Alvarez teaching the former champion the shoulder roll?
The P4P star has first-hand experience of how difficult it is to attack a fighter who has perfected the shoulder roll. Alvarez fought Mayweather in 2013, and the legendary boxer schooled him with his incredible defensive skill, particularly the shoulder roll.
