While Oscar De La Hoya was having a casual talk about his promotions and upcoming events with Fight Hype, he was asked about his opinion on the incident at the Oscars.

Talking about the incident, De La Hoya said, “Will Smith was defending his wife. Yes. But, do it backstage. Do it, you know, privately. You don’t do it like on the, on the global stage like the Oscars.”

While The Golden Boy appreciates Will Smith for defending his wife, he doesn’t admire Smith slapping someone at a global public event.

According to De La Hoya, he should have sorted out things with Chris Rock somewhere privately. 

The Golden Boy recreates the controversial incident

De La Hoya didn’t stop after condemning Smith for his behavior. He even recreated the scene from the Oscars with his girlfriend Holly Sonders, making fun of Will Smith.
