It has been some time since the former unified lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez went into a face-off. The last he engaged in such an event was against Australian warrior George Kambosos Jr, who registered an upset win over Lopez. But recently, the 24-year-old appeared staring into the eyes of one of the greatest lightweight of all times, Roberto Duran.

The duo crossed each other’s path in an event and manifested as if they were going to prepare for a fight. Top Rank Boxing shared a video clip on the social media platform.
The video displayed Lopez in a black T-shirt and the 70-year-old Hall of Famer in a suit. The pair had a brief word, then they decided to have an intense face-off. ‘The Takeover’ tried to set the entire drama. He took a few steps back and then directly walked to witness the death stare of a Mexican legend.
After looking for a few seconds into Duran’s eyes, Lopez pulled out a funny expression that made Duran laugh. Finally, Duran hugged Lopez.
