Despite August’s formidable right hook, Paul unleashed a well-executed right uppercut behind a jab, resulting in August hitting the canvas within the opening round. Moreover, even boxing legend Riddick Bowe was left surprised with his skills in the ring.

Jake Paul surprised a lot of fans with this victory as he was facing a professional boxer for the first time after his loss against British boxer Tommy Fury. The Fury fight didn’t end in his favor, though, there were a lot of fans who had predicted the outcome. Many fans pointed out that August is not a proper professional boxer.

Even boxing legend and former undisputed champion Riddick Bowe shared his reaction to the knockout victory. Bowe recently shared a picture of himself along with Paul on social media. In his post on Instagram, he wrote, “I was saying I could show him the Uppercut” He Showed Me. Keep up the Hard Work. Bowe”. It seems that Paul’s uppercut left even Bowe who is known for his powerful jab and excellent boxing skills and capable of defeating Evander Holyfield stunned. However, not everyone was impressed with this win.

KSI ‘not surprised’ with his rival’s victory

In an interesting turn of events, KSI and IShowSpeed sparred in the boxing ring as Paul fought August. JJ managed to knock Speed down three times before winning with a ‘tap-out’. As he did an interview with Fred Talks Fighting, he discussed the fight along with Paul’s recent victory.

However, JJ was not impressed with the fight. He stated, “Am I shocked? No. We all know that Jake just looks for super easy fights and he fought a cab driver this time so yeah. It is what it is. I don’t really care about him. I didn’t even know he was fighting at the same time as me.”
