Boasting a professional record of 45 wins and 2 losses, many observers consider him as one of the greatest boxers of all time. The 49-year-old is no longer active in the sport, but he still remains to be relevant in the heavyweight talks.

He is now a political figure in Ukraine and has been serving his nation for a long time. In the list of boxers turned politicians, Vitali Klitschko is clearly one of the biggest names, if not the biggest. That said, he continues to be in the headlines with his political role and is the newly elected Mayor of Kyiv, Ukraine.

Vitali Klitschko is a winner inside and outside the ring

Wladimir, the junior Klitschko, turned to Twitter and posted a picture where he is alongside his brother. Here, the former heavyweight champion congratulates his elder brother on his achievement in politics.

 

In the caption of the post, he wrote, “Kyiv has elected Vitali Klitschko as the City Mayor, Vitali has always been a fighter, now he fights for the people and he is evolved through experience into quite an empathetic manager. He serves our country and I can’t stop thinking how proud our dad would be of him.”

While ‘Iron fist’ Klitschko has faced some adversaries in his boxing career, he knows how to emerge stronger for them. Especially when he has the support of his brother. Despite retiring from boxing, the Klitschko brothers are still one of the most iconic duos of the sport.
