WBC’s two of the supreme champions- Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson don’t really appear to be on friendly terms. Instead, the American stars have frequently lashed at each other and are rumored to have a dent in their relationship. Tyson has ridiculed Mayweather on umpteen occasions and even tried to bully him once at an event hosted by the WBC.
However, Mayweather admitted ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ as one of his boxing idols. Back in the days when Tyson was terrorizing the whole heavyweight division, a young Floyd Mayweather was planning his own success story in the sport. That’s how the two got inter-linked.
For several years, Mayweather proved his worth as a top-tier fighter and revealed taking inspiration from Tyson in 2015. The boxing administrators inducted Floyd Mayweather in the Hall of Fame slot in 2015. At Caesar Palace, ‘Money’ delivered a lengthy speech and inspired his fans all over the world.

Referring to Mike Tyson, Mayweather said, “I have seen guys like Mike Tyson and I seen him myself with my own eyes. When I seen that Bentley at the boxing gym and I have seen that Diamond Rolex, I said I want that. And I knew what it took.”
“So I know when my opponent is asleep. I am out there 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning, chopping trees, working, to this day.”
Mayweather became extremely successful in his career, both professionally and financially. Well, way more successful than Mike Tyson under certain legitimate parameters. Mayweather is the richest boxer of all time so far with an unbeaten record of 50-0. But Tyson didn’t credit him enough for that.

Mayweather’s five-division world championship and 50-0 pro record tout him over everyone in the sport, arguably. Meanwhile, Mayweather also considers himself the greatest boxer of all time and has often pitched himself over the likes of Muhammad Ali. Well, that has vexed several people, including Mike Tyson.

Tyson expressed his views on it several times and absolutely wrote away Mayweather’s claims and hailed Muhammad Ali’s supremacy over everyone in the trend. Having idolized Ali all his life, Tyson clearly didn’t like what Mayweather said. However, Floyd Mayweather hadn’t disrespected anyone and it was just himself praising his achievements.
