

The former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder, had accused his arch-rival Tyson Fury of glove tampering frequently after the defeat but could not put forth a shred of reasonable evidence. But a rare clip that surfaced shows that the reigning WBC and the Ring champion, Fury was once caught red-handed by officials for lacing tempered gloves.

In a clip, the referee Marcus McDonald caught ‘The Gypsy King’ before the start of the fight. During a ring announcement of his clash against the journeyman, Christian Hammer, in 2015, the referee found a tampered left glove laced on Fury’s hand with the thumb part cut from the base.

Eventually, he made Fury get a whole new pair of gloves, delaying the start of the fight.

However, it was the first time that ‘The Gypsy King’ fell into the controversy about cheating. But it was unintentional. Presumably, the problem with the glove was sustained in a warm-up session before coming out in the ring.
Tyson Fury in a row to unify heavyweight titles again
The greatest heavyweight technician of this generation, Tyson Fury, is hell-bent on unifying heavyweight titles again. In a course, he is all set to lock horns against the WBC mandatory challenger, Dillian Whyte.

After several negotiations, the British blockbuster will land on April 23 in the Wembley Stadium in London.

If he emerges victorious, he will most likely put an eye on the upcoming rematch between another British star, Anthony Joshua, and the reigning unified IBF, WBO, and WBA champion Oleksandr Usyk.
