Besides Errol Spence Jr, WBO champion Terence Crawford doesn’t seem to have a legitimate challenge left in the welterweight division. Akin to Crawford, WBC-IBF titlist Spence Jr. is an undefeated champion. Also, as a fight between them will unify three major 147 lbs straps, it is a legitimate matchup.
This fight has been one of the most-talked-about matchups in the sport for several years. Crawford and Spence Jr. have also expressed opinions about each other frequently, but it has never progressed.
Now, a desperate Crawford seemed to be hunting for ‘The Truth’ in the ocean. In reality, Crawford was spending quality time in the ocean. That’s where he decided to shoot a small video and send a cheeky message to Errol Spence Jr.

‘Bud’ said, “I’m looking for you Errol, where you at? I’m in the ocean. You said you are the big fish. I am looking for you.”
Following a KO-win against Shawn Porter, Crawford sent a clear message to Errol Spence Jr., who had failed to stop ‘Showtime’ when they locked horns in 2019. Although Spence Jr. earned the victory, it was nothing like what ‘Bud’ did to Porter.
While Spence Jr. is reportedly looking to return after recovering from his retinal injury, he can try to seal a fight against Crawford. As ‘Bud’ may not stick around the division for pretty long, Errol Spence Jr. could miss out on a massive fantasy clash if he doesn’t move quickly.

Terence Crawford has bigger goals on his way
Three-weight world champion Crawford is a P4P elite. He is an A-lister and can try to hunt more divisions before finally calling it a day. His latest tweet showed that he feels invincible at 147.
“They should of listen and fought me before I grew into the weight class, now it’s over with,” wrote Crawford.

Given his mindset, it is clear that he may look to move to 154 to challenge himself.
Crawford parted ways with Bob Arum’s Top Rank Promotions after the Porter fight. He will now function as a free agent and can possibly work on getting the fights he desires. Thus, the fight against ‘The Truth’ can be closer than ever.
