Paul went on to win the fight against Askren via first-round technical knockout. However, it had its own share of controversy. People accused Paul of fighting old and withering opponents, which is exactly what Paul was doing in his fight against Tyson.
But Tyson is a different animal, having decades of experience fighting much more dangerous opponents. Plus, Tyson’s training montage warning Paul has given people some amount of confidence in Tyson’s abilities. However, a UFC legend has accused Tyson of faking those clips.
Chael Sonnen has some advice for Mike Tyson
Since the fight was announced, Mike Tyson has been sharing updates about his training sessions while issuing warnings to Paul. However, Chael Sonnen thinks all of this is just Mike’s way of hyping up the upcoming fight. Turning to X on Thursday, the UFC legend expressed his thoughts about the training clips.

He wrote, “In the future if you’re ever going to spend five seconds hitting mitts, as a way of making the audience believe you’re doing a training session, make sure you splash water on your face and T-shirt first.” What’s more concerning is that these clips are stitched together with several smaller clips of Tyson’s training. So, what happens between these short bursts of energy is unknown.
Now, about the fight itself, certain sources revealed that the matchup could be a professional bout with no headgear. However, no official confirmation has come forth regarding the number of rounds, and how long each round would be for.
