Jake ‘The Problem Child’ Paul showed off a unique training technique during his open media workout. All the fighters on the main card of the fight had their open media workout today. Paul was the last fighter to come out for his workout.

Paul entered the ring with his trainer BJ Flores, all wearing coordinated training costumes. The 24-year-old started off by jump roping for around 4 minutes, followed by shadowboxing. Then, in an unexpected twist, he did something very bizarre.

Paul removed his clothes to reveal a red swimsuit underneath his training costume. He wore swimming goggles, got out of the ring, and jumped straight into the pool with his shoes and watch on. He started swimming laps of the pool.

The entire media, along with his bodyguards, surrounded the pool and watched on as he swam. After swimming, he came out, dried himself, and went to answer questions from the media. Quite an interesting open media workout, even by Paul’s standards.

Jake Paul is on the way to becoming the next big PPV attraction. Paul is serious about his boxing career and looks to be making big moves in the sport. He has not fought a professional boxer yet, which has been the biggest criticism he has faced in his boxing career so far.

So following his fight against Woodley this weekend, if Paul can secure the win, he could look to fight a ‘real’ boxer next.

After swimming in his workout, Paul stood to answer the media’s questions. He spoke about his potential future opponents, and who he would like to fight next. When asked if he would fight Canelo Alvarez, Paul replied, “I will fight Canelo 100 per cent.”

“Look at this guy Avni Yildirim [who Canelo beat earlier this year]. His nickname was ‘The Turkish Warrior’. He got to fight Canelo. Why can he get the fight but I can’t?” Paul also spoke about possibly fighting his brother, Logan Paul.

But one boxer who Paul will not fight is Tommy Fury.

“I don’t think a fight between us will ever happen,” Paul said. “I don’t want to ever give him the opportunity. He had his shot. I’d like to see him fight 20 more times to even get the same payday that he would have got against me. Sorry, Tommy. It isn’t going to happen.”
