After his win over Mario Barrios in June, Gervonta Davis is now back in action. A new clip of ‘Tank’ working the pads has surfaced and he looks better than ever before. In this video, Davis looks fast and the punches look extremely sharp.
Gervonta Davis is a three-division world champion with 24 knockouts in a clean record of 25 wins and no losses. In under a decade, he has proven his worth as one of the best and one of the most vicious knockout artists.

Recently, footage of Gervonta Davis sparring with much taller fighters also emerged. Despite shortcomings in terms of height and reach, ‘Tank’ trains with some of the toughest sparring partners. As a result, he has always been able to surpass all expectations.
Ryan Garcia has given up on the Gervonta Davis fight
Davis is now a big deal at 140 lbs and even adjacent weight classes like 130, 135, and 150. With a win over previously undefeated Barrios, fans are now rooting for new and exciting matchups for Davis with elite boxers like Ryan Garcia, Josh Taylor, Teofimo Lopez, and Devin Haney.
However, it does not seem like Gervonta Davis’ mentor, Floyd Mayweather, would let him engage in cross-promotion matchups.

“We keep everything in-house. Mayweather Promotions/PBC. We’re not gonna go away and make another company great. We’ve got plenty at 140-130lbs. We’re gonna continue to fight the fighters that we’ve got to fight,” said Mayweather.
The boxing icon’s comments could squander hopes for mega fights like Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis.
Even Ryan Garcia now seems to have given up on this dream fight. In a recent video, he said that Floyd Mayweather made things clear with his comment.

“I do beat Davis, I do. But he’s not gonna fight anybody outside of Mayweather Promotions, is what Floyd said. So you guys gotta stop commenting that Gervonta’s never gonna fight. I don’t think anybody that you really want me to fight. So this is just killed out right now. Floyd gave that away,” said Ryan Garcia.
However, over the years, Floyd Mayweather has also mastered the art of building up fights. Perhaps this could be part of a bigger game plan that could allow this fight to gain Pacquiao vs Mayweather-like traction down the line.
