Former 5-division world champion Floyd Mayweather is set to compete in his next exhibition bout following his victory over Mikuru Asakura last month. Money will now take on British YouTuber Deji at the Coca-Cola arena in Dubai on November 13th. Moreover, this will be Mayweather’s 5th exhibition bout since he retired professionally back in 2017 after his 50th professional win beating, Conor McGregor.

Even at the age of 45, Mayweather seems to be in shape to still compete. Although the competition has been somewhat lackluster in his previous exhibition bouts, at this stage in his career this might make the most sense for ‘Money’. However, this certainly does not mean he is taking his next opponent lightly. In a recent video, Mayweather can be spotted working the pads and preparing for this fight.

This was not all as “TBE’ showed some flashes of his former self. He got into a rhythm with his trainer working to pads along with him at a high pace and intensity. Moreover, it seemed that he himself couldn’t believe his conditioning as he expressed his satisfaction after the workout. “I’m still smoking at my age,” he said at the end.

Many have criticized Mayweather in the past for not facing the toughest opponents. However, what cannot be called into question is his dedication and discipline toward boxing. Mayweather has always been one of the hardest workers in the sport which has led him to thrive even at 45 years old.
Floyd Mayweather challenges undercard fighter after constant taunting
During Mayweather’s work, Jake Paul’s teammate Anthony Taylor, who will compete on the undercard, was constantly taunting him. This resulted in ‘Money’ calling him into the ring to spar. “You got your boxing stuff? I’m putting you on the spot.” said Mayweather. However, Taylor was quick to get himself out of the session, stating he didn’t want to waste his energy before his fight. “I’ve gotta fight on Sunday, I’m not gonna waste my energy, not for free.” He said.

Taylor is set to face Love Island winner Jack Fincham on the undercard. However, it might have been wise for him not to spar with an agitated Mayweather just before his fight.
