The only 4-time heavyweight world champion, Evander Holyfield, has his place immortalized in the history of boxing. He has earned it all in his illustrious career, and many believe Holyfield deserves more recognition for his name. That said, ‘The Real Deal’ has recently been honored with his statue in the State Farm Arena.
Atlanta City hosted the event in partnership with Fulton County, the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority, and State Farm Arena that saw several reputed personalities arrive. Keisha Lance Bottoms, the Mayor City of Atlanta, was also one of the speakers at the event. However, Evander Holyfield’s inaugurated statue stole the entire show.

In front of a wholesome attendance, Evander Holyfield received a warm welcome before his statue was unveiled. The 58-year-old also talked about a few things before we could see his rock-made art. Nevertheless, many fans criticized the work for having very few similarities with the former heavyweight world champion.

Meanwhile, Holyfield appeared pleased with the honor he received as a tribute to his time as a pugilist.

From his rumored exhibition bouts to important opinions regarding modern-era fighting, Holyfield is also a familiar name to the new-age fans. Akin to several veterans who have returned to the boxing ring in recent times, Evander Holyfield has expressed a similar wish.

He has even expressed interest in meeting his former foe Mike Tyson in an exhibition trilogy clash. Although there has been almost no response from the other side, Holyfield still appears optimistic about bagging the opportunity. Apart from Tyson, if ‘The Real Deal’ desires to lace up the gloves again, he can share the ring with several more names.
