Many expected Dubois to stay out of the game for a considerable while, given the fact the young gun had suffered a lopsided defeat in his last fight against Joe Joyce. In fact, he’d even suffered brutal eye injuries that made him take a knee in round 10 of the bout.
Joyce attacked the ‘Dynamite’s eye with constant jabs throughout the fight. But the latter was able to stun his fellow adversary on a few occasions in their tussle. However, the ‘Juggernaut’ turned the tables and adopted an offensive approach to tackle Dubois.
As a result, the 23-year-old couldn’t handle Joyce’s prowess and he ended up losing one of the biggest fights of his life. Also, this was Dubois’ first career loss that came in the most tragic fashion. But the Greenwich native has moved on from that loss to find his prime momentum again.
