The P4P King Canelo Alvarez has turned 31. Over the past year, as a 30-year-old, he has had a pretty decent time. He is now the unified super-middleweight champion and is just short of the IBF belt in his quest to become undisputed. While he is focusing on that, he took time to celebrate his birthday solely with his family. Alvarez shared a glimpse of how he began his day via social media and thrilled several fans.

Canelo Alvarez, who was sleeping, was woken up with a song playing in the background as his daughter excitedly presented him with a birthday cake. As Alvarez began his day on a bright note, he couldn’t help but post it on social media. In the caption, the P4P king wrote, “There is no better gift.”

Despite his high-profile status in the boxing world, Alvarez has never lost love for his roots. The Mexican big-shot appears to be a family man, and apart from boxing, he mostly spends time with his wife and daughter.

Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez tied the knot with his long-time partner Fernanda Gomez just a few months back. While Alvarez already had a daughter from his previous relationship, he also has a son and another daughter.

In an interaction with Graham Bensinger, the P4P king had revealed that he went through several tough times after becoming a father. His first child, Emily Cinnamon Alvarez, was born in 2007.

Despite having three children, he couldn’t give similar attention to all of them. One reason was his busy boxing schedule. However, Alvarez claimed that he stayed in touch with his children all the time via calls.

While he continues to rise in the sport, becoming an all-time great, his family remains a massive source of support behind the success story. As of now, Canelo Alvarez can return and compete once more in 2021. Although nothing is official, we might see him go against the undefeated IBF champion Caleb Plant in a fight that would see all four titles up for grabs.
