Even as he stood over the ropes, posing in victory, the crowd jeered and booed the Aussie. The boxing match at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, couldn’t have been more dramatic. The semblance to Royal Rumble wasn’t missed out a bit on Twitter!
Montana Love wins the Royal Rumble!
Oh? It’s not wrestling? Lol.

Montana Love vs Steve Spark: Rumble in The Ring!
The twenty-seven years old southpaw was fighting Spark in front of his home crowd. The Aussie, riding on the back of three back-to-back victories back home, was eager to take on an opponent overseas. So he readily accepted when Matchroom Sport offered a fight against Love.
Spark, nicknamed The Viking, has fought eighteen bouts, out of which he won sixteen. Fourteen of his wins were knockouts. Stacked against him, Too Pretty Love has fought twenty times. Again, he won eighteen of those, half of them through knockouts.
Love had Spark under his control in the first round. But soon, breaking free, a lightning combination from the Aussie had his rival fall over the canvas. Recovering in the third round, Love and Spark danced around a game of one-upmanship. The Cleveland native dominated round four.
But a deep cut over Montana Love’s left eye resulted when the boxers head-butted during round six. A time-out was called for a medical review.
Allowed to continue, soon both the fighters clung together. Pushing Sparks, Love ranged him against the ropes. Suddenly, his left hand shoved the former outside. Despite the referee forcing himself in between to stop the melee, the poor Aussie fell.

Thankfully, he didn’t injure himself and got back inside the ring. Stopping the match, referee David Fields and other match officials in sync found enough justification to disqualify the Too Pretty.
Not too pleased with the decision, Love’s camp plans to appeal against the decision. Eddie Hearn said, “I saw it right in front of me. It was a terrible decision by the referee. “He acted way too quickly. It was 20-30 seconds of madness, from the headbutt to the doctor coming in, I don’t know. Everyone looked loss in the decision-making process. Montana was rough, but he was right, he didn’t pick him up. “Credit to Stevie Spark. When he fell out of the ring, he got right back up and made his way back to the ring. Montana Love didn’t look for a way out, it was turning into a real fight. Montana got off the floor. The referees got to stop making these quick decisions. The referee has a tough job, but that was a poor decision. Maybe we’ll do it again.”

If upheld by the Athletic Commission, the decision will dent Montana’s record. It is the first loss of his career. But, for Steve Spark, it is another milestone. He is unbeaten in four straight matches.
