The ‘Destroyer’ went out of action ever since his rematch loss to Anthony Joshua. He lost all his hard-earned titles in this contest, and ever since then, he’s asking for a trilogy with the champion. But, Joshua has moved to fight for the undisputed title and Ruiz Jr. would have to wait even longer to compete with him.

Moreover, he won’t have directly earned his shot towards Joshua without an active run in the big men’s division.

To stay relevant and make his way to the summit again, the ‘Destroyer’ is ready to take any and everyone next in line. He went into a serious transformation and lost a significant amount of weight. He also trained under Eddy Reynoso to sharpen himself up and get ready for massive challenges in-line.
