Vasyl Lomachenko has been out of action since his loss to Teofimo Lopez back in October. However, the Ukrainian has recovered and is ready to get back in the ring. And after a Twitter confrontation with Devin Haney, many thought he would fight the American.

However, ‘Loma’ has revealed the truth of their situation. He spoke to SNOWQUEENLA on YouTube and said, “Devin, stop lying. Why are you lying to people? Tell Eddie Hearn to send a written contract on paper.”

The pound-for-pound star then confirmed that he had received no written contracts, papers, or even an offer from ‘Dream’. He then accused Haney of seeking attention when he said, “In my opinion, he (Haney) only remembered me after he signed the contract with Linares.”

These comments showed the reality of the rumored fight between the two. However, this happened because Haney recently revealed that the only thing stopping him from announcing his next bout was Lomachenko, to whom they had sent a contract. Clearly, this was not true.

Vasyl Lomachenko explains why he wants to fight Devin Haney

The former champion may have accused Haney of lying about sending a contract. However, Lomachenko made no secret of his desire to face the young American and explained his thinking.

The Ukrainian said, “Devin Haney has a real WBC belt, yes, the one I got beating Campbell. Then they gave me a ‘franchise’ belt and my real belt went to Haney automatically.”

This comment showed he has unfinished business against Haney.

The two have a history between them, as Haney was Lomachenko’s mandatory for a while. However, Top Rank requested ‘Loma’ to be promoted to super-champion. As a result, Haney became champion, and they never faced each other.

Therefore, if the two were to fight, it would be a fantastic bout. However, the champion will now most likely face Jorge Linares next.

What do you make of these accusations from Vasyl Lomachenko? Do you think Devin Haney should fight him next?
