Vasyl Lomachenko is currently preparing for his fight against Richard Commey. Lomachenko will take on the Ghanaian boxer at the Madison Square Garden in New York. This is a very important fight for ‘Hi-Tech’ as he looks to advance to another title shot.

Ahead of his fight, Lomachenko spoke about potentially fighting Gervonta Davis. Per Michael Benson, Lomachenko said: “I always said I’m open for the fight, but you know boxing politics. Floyd Mayweather said every time, ‘We have our way and forget about us, we’re making money.’ They fight only on Showtime and with guys who they believe they can [beat].”

‘Tank’, on the other hand, is on his way to cement his boxing legacy as one of the greatest boxers in the world under the tutelage of ‘Money’ Mayweather. Together, the pair have made Davis one of the biggest draws in boxing as of now.

The fight against Isaac Cruz is a testament to how far they’ve come together. Although he did not fight against a very well-known fighter, the bout drew a lot of attention and all the stars and celebrities showed out to support ‘Tank‘ at the Staples Center.

Bob Arum reveals his plan for Vasyl Lomachenko

Bob Arum has plans on setting up a title fight for Vasyl Lomachenko. The Top Rank promoter revealed that he wants to set up a Vasyl Lomachenko vs Shakur Stevenson fight for the WBO title.

“Loma-Shakur, that’s the fight I want to make,” Arum told World Boxing News. “I think that’s a great fight. Whether it’s at 135 pounds of 130 or at a catchweight. I don’t need it for a title.”

“Loma-Shakur is a major pay-per-view fight. Valdez-Navarrete is a great Hispanic attraction (on ESPN).”

Although Lomachenko has not reacted to Arum’s plans yet, he has some plans of his own. Per Michael Benson, Bob Arum revealed that the WBO may order Vasyl Lomachenko as a mandatory challenger to George Kambosos Jr. if he manages to win against Richard Commey.
