May 18 marks the day of the big showdown. Who among Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk assumes the position of the favorite? A group of fans made their prediction based on a workout video that freshly emerged of the ‘Gypsy King.’
Due to an injury Fury sustained during training, his February fight against his Ukrainian opponent was rescheduled to May 18th. This historic match will unify Fury’s WBC belt with Usyk’s WBA/WBO/IBF titles, crowning the boxing world’s undisputed heavyweight champion for the first time since 1999. Recognizing the significance of the Riyadh fight, Fury is leaving no stone unturned in his preparation.

On his Instagram, the Lancashire-based fighter gave a glimpse of the rigorous training he’s going through to defeat his opponent. As he faces flak for being the reason why their earlier fight date was pushed, he’s trying extremely hard to flip the public opinion in his favor. In the video, he can be seen throwing swift and powerful jabs at the mitts. The training session was spearheaded by trainer, Bob Howard, someone who has been instrumental in getting Fury ready for all his fights.

In captions, the 6’9” tall fighter wrote, “Bit of mit work with @stonehands11 working hard for may 18 roll on!” For Fury, the Usyk fight is not only about the undisputed status. It is his redemption from the close call he had with a loss when he marginally won against Francis Ngannou last year. Therefore, each endeavor he takes on during this camp will significantly impact his illustrious record. Are fans convinced that he is ready to meet this challenge?
The Gypsy King is trying to evade the Ngannou mishap

One fan contended that Tyson Fury being thrown down by Francis Ngannou was the best thing to happen for his preparation against Oleksandr Usyk.
