At the 2019 Super Bowl when the New England Patriots battled the Los Angeles Rams, then 49-year-old Rich Eisen, in a daring move, raced Usain Bolt! Like the NFL Combine, the two participated in a 40-yard dash, and as expected, Bolt beat Eisen easily. And now, speaking of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, Eisen was reminded of the time when he raced a prime Usain Bolt at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in front of thousands of people.
Seriously, with an age gap of thirty years, what are the chances of Mike Tyson coming out victorious from the upcoming fight against Jake Paul? But at the same time, boxing fans would not be surprised if ‘Kid Dynamite’ landed one dazzling uppercut on ‘The Problem Child’ and caught the same off guard in the ring. So, while Eisen remained excited about the upcoming match, he drew a striking parallel between Paul vs. Mike and Rich vs. Bolt.
“When Tyson comes out of the tunnel when that happens, I kind of view this in the same way that when I was training for my 40 a few years ago. I ran a 40-yard dash with Usain Bolt and there is a photograph of me and Usain Bolt coming out of the start,” began Eisen. He continued about the famous race.

“There’s a snapshot in time where I am stride for stride with the fastest man on Earth. And you can’t take that away from me. That’s the way we’re going to think about Tyson when he is coming out of that tunnel,” he added. But does that mean Eisen has lost his faith in ‘Kid Dynamite’?
Of course, not! Although Tyson will be 58 by the time the fight takes place in November, Eisen remains hopeful that ‘Iron’ will bring back memories once he begins to swing. “He’s going to be there and we’re going to sit here and say, ‘Just maybe, he lands that one punch and the 58-year-ol makes us feel like we’re all 28 all over again,” Eisen concluded.
Rich Eisen fears Jake Paul might dominate Mike Tyson

While there are obvious risks and Jake Paul just might end up handing Mike Tyson the ‘L,’ how many people get to step inside the ring and experience that rush at 58? As per Eisen, even if Tyson fails to perform against Jake Paul in November, no one can take the moment away from the former Heavyweight champion of the world like no one can take Eisen’s moment away from the commentator-cum-host when he raced Usain. In this connection, Eisen said, “He’s [Tyson] got a puncher’s chance, that’s the whole idea.”
“Now what happens at the finish of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson? [It] might be a complete dominating performance by Jake Paul,” Eisen concluded. With that said, do you think Jake Paul will dominate Mike Tyson? In addition, what do you think of the comparison between Paul vs. Tyson and Eisen vs. Bolt? Let us know in the comments below.
