Was the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight a letdown, or did it live up to the hype?

Fight week for Jake Paul and his Dutch speed skater girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam, was a whirlwind of drama and delight! After Jake’s Netflix-exclusive bout hit the skids thanks to some unexpected twists, Jutta decided to sprinkle a little sunshine on social media. She posted a gallery of their week together, packed with cute moments and big smiles, leaving Paul’s business partner Olivia Dunne and actress Eva Marie awestruck.

Following months of trash talk and genius marketing, Paul, 27, and Mike Tyson, 58, finally threw down in an 8 two-minute-round fight at Jerry World in Arlington, Texas. Despite promises from both parties of spectacular knockouts, the fight was a slow and lackluster mess. Even though Tyson managed to burst with energy in the early rounds, his age started taking hold.

As the rounds progressed, Tyson slowed down considerably, as ‘The Problem Child’ took center stage with his ‘good enough’ boxing skills, eventually securing a unanimous decision win. Regardless, days after the fight ended, Paul’s girlfriend hopped on Instagram to share a gallery of pictures from the fight week, with the caption reading, “Fight week 🩵✨@jakepaul.”

Adding some family love to the mix, she posted a sweet snap with her parents, Monique and Ruud Leerdam. Of course, no Jake Paul week would be complete without a little drama—she shared a pic and clip from the final weigh-ins, where Paul hilariously got smacked for stepping on Tyson’s toe.

Regardless, since she posted these media on Instagram, Olivia Dunne, who is one of the partners for Paul’s men’s fragrance brand W, responded to all the pictures and videos, writing, “Ur so 😍.” Meanwhile, Ex-WWE superstar Natalie Eva Marie reacted to the post, writing, “Outfits🔥🥳.” That being said, Leerdam even showed her support after Paul’s fight last Friday.

“You’ve only been doing this sport for a few years and you make the most massive events happen. People can say what they want but they watched it and it broke records. Bigger than the Super Bowl,” she added. Leerdam even went on to reveal how Paul inspires her, writing, “You keep showing me and the world that dreaming big and manifestation works… You inspire me and so many people out there.”

It appears regardless of whether the people who paid to watch the fight liked it or not, Jutta Leerdam and Jake Paul had an exciting week leading up to the mega Mike Tyson fight. In the meantime, Paul has called out a bunch of people, so it would be interesting to see who he ends up fighting next. What are your thoughts on the pictures? What did you think about the fight?
