According to ‘everipedia,’ John Gotti III was born on November 2, 1992. One of the six children born to John A Gotti and Kimberley Albanese, Gotti III reportedly grew up in Long Island, New York’s Oyster Bay Cove. During his school days, he was active in high school varsity football. So after a slew of amateur fights, on October 27, he debuted against Johnny Adams. He has participated in six bouts, winning five and losing one. In mixed martial arts, he fought in the Welterweight category.

In 2022, he ventured to boxing, winning the two bouts he fought. However, it seems in boxing; his weight has landed him in the Light Heavyweight division. Standing at six feet and weighing around 169 lbs, reportedly, Gotti III follows a strict diet and exercise regimen to keep him in peak condition. Additionally, he neither smokes nor drinks.

John Gotti III’s grandfather was John Joseph Gotti Jr., who headed the Gambino family of New York. However, law enforcement arrested the latter in 1992. In 2002, while still in jail, John Gotti passed away due to throat cancer. His son John Angelo Gotti took his father’s place as the interim boss of the Gambino family between the years 1991 to 1999. However, the law also caught up with John Gotti Jr., and he reportedly served time for roughly six years.
According to an article on ‘mymmanews,’ as per rumors, he received calls from UFC. However, at the CES MMA 61, he lost his first MMA fight to Nick Alley on October 14, 2020. Therein followed a phase of him taking a break from competitive contests. However, things changed when he kicked off a boxing career with a unanimous victory over Albert Tulley on October 1. He secured a more convincing victory against Alex Citrowske on January 23 by knocking him out in the first round. Interestingly, the Sunday night fight with Mayweather Jr. has been billed as ‘Last Names Matter.’ How he fares against an undefeated champion he once idolized at Sunrise, Florida’s FLA Live Arena, remains to be seen.
