Canelo Alvarez has recently been requested to help pay the bills for a baby’s retinopathy surgery. Despite the doctor’s willingness to operate without fees, the hospital bills and the supplies are to be provided for the treatment of the premature baby. Without wasting any time, Alvarez responded to the call and is willing to pay the bills.

Alvarez was soon provided with an account number to deposit money. However, the Mexican phenom, in order to know the exact figure that was needed, demanded a phone number to talk to the parents of the baby.

Taking to Twitter, Canelo Alvarez said, “I need a phone number for the parents, to ask them how much they need, not for nothing but I don’t like to deposit in how many you never know. Thank you very much!”

A baby who needs the help of Canelo Alvarez for retinopathy

The name of the baby is Dante. An account uploaded a video of the baby’s parents and requested Canelo Alvarez for money. As per the video uploaded, the doctor wants to operate free of charge but the parents need to pay other hospital bills.

On being tagged on Twitter and requested for his aid to support the baby, Alvarez first asked for a number. However, soon after he received the account number to deposit money, Alvarez wanted to talk to the parents directly.

Alvarez to the rescue

Alvarez has often donated money to help fellow beings. Once the Mexican phenom donated $1 Million to help fund children’s cancer treatment. Earlier this year, the boxing champion donated a sum of $1 Million after a severe earthquake hit Mexico.

After defeating Gennady Golovkin, Alvarez is preparing himself to fight Dmitry Bivol in a rematch in 2023.
