Ryan Garcia is looking for other venues to get back into action, and it appears he has settled on wrestling as the best option. The Victorville native is serving his one-year sentence after the NYSAC banned him from boxing for testing positive for ostarine during the Devin Haney fight last April.

And let’s just say, it has proven to be chaotic, at least for him. So, the 25-year-old hopped on X yesterday, sharing a clip of himself wrestling his brother, Sean Garcia. He captioned the clip, writing, “I’m trying wrestling[, I] just need a coach”. Lucky for him, his wish just got granted.

Soon afterwards, undefeated UFC super middleweight fighter Bo Nickal answered Garcia’s plea for help, writing, “I gotchu bro @RyanGarcia”. It’s worth mentioning that after being handed a one year suspension, Garcia had expressed interest in moving over the octagon to fight Sean O’Malley.

Garcia told TMZ Sports while strolling the streets of Los Angeles a while back, “I like ‘Suga’ Sean [O’Malley] cause he defended me [after cheating allegations]. But if he really wants to run it in the UFC, I’ll run it. Or bare knuckle. S***, I’m ready to fight anyone at this point”.

Financially, it would be a perfect move for the 25-year-old boxer, and if Dana White really wanted, he could make this fight happen as he did for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor crossover boxing match. However, since the NYSAC has banned Garcia, they or any other commission would have to allow the boxer to fight in the octagon, which is unlikely.

Not to mention, the controversy Ryan Garcia has managed to drum up after his racial slur against Black people and derogatory remarks on Muslim, there is no way White would want to go anywhere near the Victorville native right now. Just look at what the WBC did after this incident.

After Ryan Garcia made those remarks while on a social media live stream, World Boxing Council president Mauricio Sulaiman hopped on X to write, “Exercising my authority … I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization”, clarifying that they don’t stand for any form of racism.

Following this, Ryan Garcia issued an extensive apology, stating, “I take all responsibility for my words. And it’s been a tough couple of months as everyone can tell, but I AM SORRY”. Despite this, many, including Garcia’s promoter, have condemned everything Garcia said while offering the 25-year-old the much needed help he needs.

While it’s unlikely the wrestling trainer Ryan Garcia is looking for will be of any use for his combat career, he could use it for self improvement and distract himself from all the negativity that led him to become this antagonistic figure in the world. Do you think Garcia should start wrestling?
