WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney will have a tough test in Yuriorkis Gamboa, as he will put his title and undefeated record on the line in a 12-round main event clash. Being one of the looming sensations of the lightweight roster, Haney’s performance against Gamboa will also put him on the scale with WBA champion Gervonta Davis.
Gamboa, Haney’s upcoming opponent, is coming off from a KO loss against Davis in his last fight. That said, boxing fans want to see whether ‘The Dream’ puts on a better performance. Unlike Davis, Haney might taste victory in the early stages, but there are a handful of people who don’t want to compare the fights. Super lightweight pugilist Brandun Lee is one of them.

Lee believes that Haney will outbox Gamboa, predicting an early knockout for ‘The Dream’. Meanwhile, he also said that Haney’s performance against Gamboa has got nothing to do with that of Gervonta Davis’ performance against ‘El Ciclon’.
Devin Haney vs Yuriorkis Gamboa- Fight analysis
During an interaction with Fight Hype, Brandun Lee reflected on several scenarios of the lightweight unit. He was also asked to provide an opinion on the lightweight thriller between Gamboa and Haney.
Predicting a comfortable win for Haney, Lee said, “I mean Devin is one hell of a boxer, great ring IQ, one thing no one can ever say about him is that he doesn’t work hard. The guy puts hours in the gym, he works hard. So, I already know he is going to be conditioned and I think he is going to box the s*** out of Gamboa and maybe even knock him out in the later rounds.”

He further disapproved of the idea of comparing it with Gervonta Davis’ performance and added, “That was his fight, this is Devin’s fight so, its two different perspectives.”
