The reported cost of building the arena, said to be bigger than the well-known Manchester Arena, is around $390 million. Starting from the opening date, a lineup of artists will perform at what many expect will invariably become one of the country’s biggest hotspots. According to the arena’s operators, the Denver-based Oak View Group, the design of ‘Co-Op Live’ primarily caters to live musical entertainment shows. In fact, the plan envisages holding roughly 120 events in a year. Around a hundred of those will be dedicated to music. But that does not mean other modes of entertainment, such as live sporting events, would not be considered. As talkSPORT‘s Michael Benson mentioned, it could as well be ‘a potential future home for British boxing’.

If all are seated, then ‘Co-Op Live’ will be able to accommodate approximately 20,500 people. But with around 7,500 people willing to stand, the capacity would go up to 23,500. Other exciting features include the a cutting-edge design that includes an expansive floor layout and compact ceiling.
Fans will no longer feel distant; they will have a bit closer relationship with the artists thanks to the grand but cozy bowl design. The number of bars and restaurants stands at around 32, while twelve lounges will ensure that there is literally everything to cater to everyone’s taste.
Taking its climate responsibility seriously, ‘Co-Op Live’ will go for 100% electric power usage, with a promise of complete waste recycling and rainwater harvesting
That’s not all. The arena recognizes its commitments to noble causes. So reportedly, the project expects to set aside around $1.25 million every year for donating to different charities.

According to BBC, renowned actor and comedian Peter Kay will perform on the opening night scheduled for April 23. Later, eminent artists and groups such as Liam Gallagher, Take That, Pearl Jam, and Olivia Rodrigo will also be performing at the ‘Co-Op Live’.
No wonder, many expect the 23,500-capacity venue to outshine iconic arenas such as the Manchester Arena, which incidentally lies less than 2 miles away, and the London-based O2.
