However, Tyson once surpassed his own standards after he got into a fight with an actual ‘gangster’. Back in 1988, Tyson got into an altercation with former boxer and gang member, Mitch Green, that left him with a broken hand. Green had a huge height advantage over the 5 foot 11 Tyson and used it to his advantage.
However, their second meeting in the streets of New York was a much shorter and more brutal affair. This infamous incident recently came into the limelight, after former UFC welterweight title challenger, Jorge Masvidal, reacted to it. The ‘Gamebred’ posted a video of the incident on his Facebook page with the caption, “Mike Tyson and Mitch Greene Throw HANDS! In The Mall Parking Lot.”
Masvidal has become a star in his own right seeing huge success after his iconic knockout of Ben Askren back in 2019. Moreover, he actively reacts to old boxing and combat sports stories, giving the perspective of the fighters to the fans.
