The Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder trilogy has been the sport’s biggest talking points over the last week. Despite announcing his fight against Anthony Joshua for August 14, Fury now has to honor his rematch against Wilder. And his brother, Tommy Fury, has had his say.
Reports suggest that the Fury vs. Wilder fight will go ahead on July 24 in Las Vegas. Therefore, this means the event is less than two months away. Both fighters have promised fireworks in their third bout. However, Tommy Fury has made no secret of his pick for the fight.
The 5-0 boxer spoke to BT Sport Boxing on YouTube and said, “I just think after this fight, there’s going to be a little more bit of excuses from him. Because, at the end of the day, if you make up as many excuses as you did last time, I don’t know what forty means.”

This comment showed Tommy Fury’s confidence in his brother to knock out Wilder again. And ‘TNT’ believes Wilder will react the same way he did to the first loss.
“If you lose fair and square, like he did, no problem. Shake his hand and get on with it. A million excuses isn’t going to bring back the W, is it?” rhetorized Fury.

What excuse is Tommy Fury referring to?
After his knockout loss to Fury, Wilder came out with a barrage of explanations and reasons for his loss. He first claimed his fight suit was too heavy, and thus, his legs were tired after the ring walk. He then posted a controversial video accusing Fury as well as his own trainer.

Wilder alleged that Fury had tampered with his gloves, and that’s why he could hurt him so easily. He also accused his trainer, Mark Breland, of being a traitor and claimed someone had tampered with his water.
These excuses did not go down well with boxing fans, who know it was pretty much impossible for anyone to do the things Wilder alleged. However, Tommy Fury clearly thinks this will not be the last of the excuses from Deontay Wilder.
