WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury defeated Derek Chisora for the third time on December 3, making him the first heavyweight champion to have competed in two trilogies. Moreover, the result will now be without any controversies as both fighters have passed their drug test.
Fury secured the knockout victory over his fierce rival in front of a rampant hometown crown at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The fight was also lopsided with ‘The Gypsy King’ dominating proceedings for the majority of the match.

Both British fighters were tested under the VADA, which is necessary under WBC rules. In addition, the two have now also completed the time in testing as the agency took to social media and make this announcement.

It’s hard to imagine that either fight would have used any PEDs before the fight, given their physique. However, appearances can be deceiving, which fortunately was not the case this time.
The VADA testing program has become a major part of the sport and also a necessary one. Moreover, the agency helps in shedding light and catch fighters trying to get away with cheating. In addition, the WBC champ has also not always been one to completely play by the rules.

The Gypsy King has failed a drug test in his career, which resulted in a two-year ban for him. Back in 2015, Fury tested positive for the banned substance nandrolone following his victory over Wladimir Klitschko. The UK Anti Doping Agency or UKAD handed Fury and his brother Hughie a two-year ban from the sport, with Tyson, also forced to vacate his WBC title.

Fury blamed the failed test on eating uncastrated wild boar, but the ban was not lifted. Following this, he would return to the sport in 2018 to face Deontay Wilder in the first bout of their storied trilogy. Since then, he has not failed a drug test in his career.
