The boxing world is eagerly awaiting the biggest heavyweight battle between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. Post ‘AJ’s win over Kubrat Pulev, there’s no further debate on who he faces next. But, Joshua’s manager Eddie Hearn has already put a dampener on the fight.
Eddie Hearn is desirous of rolling out Fury vs Joshua with a full-fledged stadium attendance and measureless PPV buys. He felt if the fight was taking place in the UK, both the star heavyweights would get hit in their pockets.
His comments made it pretty clear that the fight would take place overseas to ensure that the duo could box in front of a crowd. Hearn said, “If the fight’s gonna take place in the UK, they’d have to take half what they could get. So that’s a tough conversation. And if we don’t know if we’re gonna get a crowd, we can’t even consider it in the UK.”
