Tyson Fury will face Francis Ngannou on 28 October in a spectacle of humungous proportions. Despite Fury’s eagerness about the Ngannou fight, fans everywhere have labeled it a massive cash grab. What’s more, back in September, Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, announced Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk with the Ngannou fight on the horizon. It sent fans into a frenzy, as everyone had been waiting for the clash for quite a while.

After his matchup with Ngannou later this month, Tyson will face Usyk in Saudi Arabia in late December or January this year. Nevertheless, in a surprising turn of events, the ‘Gypsy King’ Fury declared his upcoming opponent, Francis Ngannou, as a bigger threat than his other opponent, Oleksandr Usyk. Despite the world eagerly awaiting the December bout between him and undefeated champion Usyk, Fury has shifted the spotlight onto his imminent opponent, Ngannou. But the question remains – why?

According to an article from Mike Coppinger from ESPN, despite the excitement among people about the Usyk fight, Fury claimed he has a much bigger threat ahead of him. “A lot of people are on about this undisputed fight, fantastic. But I have a much more dangerous person to deal with next, I believe,” Fury told ESPN. Moreover, Fury had an explanation for his bold statement!

The ‘Gypsy King’ cited the reason behind his assertion as Ngannou’s size, raw strength, and crazy knock-out capability. “Francis is a bigger man, stronger, more powerful, and has knockout capability,” said Fury. However, he wasn’t done with his claims. He proceeded to suggest that Usyk isn’t known for inflicting significant damage on his opponents.

“Usyk, he doesn’t really do much damage to people he hits,” Fury said.

Oleksandr Usyk doesn’t mince words while talking about Fury vs. Ngannou

Usyk, the 2012 Olympic gold medalist, did not hold back while talking about the fight between WBC heavyweight champion Fury and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. While many are excited about the upcoming clash, others have criticized the fight for being a cash grab. While appearing in an interview with JOE, Usyk let it all out.

During the interview, Usky highlighted the fact that Tyson Fury is a WBC champion. But Ngannou doesn’t even have a single boxing match under his belt. Usyk proceeded to explain that Ngannou is a UFC fighter and doesn’t have the experience to win against someone like Fury. Meaning, Usyk thinks Fury will easily take home the win.
