WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has shown his desperation for a fight. The undefeated Englishman revealed he would battle anybody if it meant he could enter the boxing ring. Even legendary boxer Mike Tyson.
Fury is close to announcing his two-fight deal with his fellow heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua. Recent reports have revealed that the pair have agreed on all terms and only have to sign the contracts. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ has now revealed his approach to the fight.

The Joshua-Fury fight has dragged on for a while with no announcement. Therefore, just like fans, Fury appeared frustrated with the situation. He spoke to iFL TV on YouTube and said, “Listen, I’m open to fight Fred Flintstone, and his cousin. I’ve got two fights this year and I don’t give a f**k who it is with.”
The 30-0 champion then included Mike Tyson in a list of possible opponents. Fury said, “I don’t care. I don’t care if it’s Joe Bloggs, Fred Flintstone, Mike Tyson, anybody. I just want to fight this year.”
This comment showed Fury’s desperation to make the fight and get the deal done. In addition, it also revealed the reality of the Joshua-Fury bout. Therefore, it may not be as close as it appears.

Why is Tyson Fury desperate for a fight?
Tyson Fury has never been one to shy away from a fight. And with his comments, he made no secret of his desire to return to the ring. So why is the two-time heavyweight champion of the world desperate to return to the ring?

Fury fought only once in 2020, and it was a blockbuster event against Deontay Wilder. However, later in the year, he was ready to make his homecoming fight. unfortunately, they had to cancel the event because of the financial burdens.
As a result, Fury will go into the potential Joshua fight on the back of almost 18 months out of the sport. In addition, he has previously spoken about the importance of being active. Therefore, it is easy to see why the WBC champion is eager to step through the ropes for a sanctioned bout.
