The tale of Nick ‘Bang Bang’ Blackwell
The person in the video Tyson Fury shared on his Instagram is Nick Blackwell, a former professional boxer. Blackwell became the youngest fighter to have won the English middleweight title at twenty years of age. A bout with Chris Eubank Jr proved life-altering for the ‘Bang-Bang’ fighter. Both fighters fought in March 2016. Eubank Jr won the bout via a tenth-round stoppage.

Nick reportedly faced severe brain damage due to the fight. He was bleeding out of his skull and was carried out of the ring on a stretcher.
The Trowbridge-raised boxer was put into a medically induced coma for a week. As a consequence of the fight, he faced memory loss. Eventually, Blackwell had to retire from professional boxing due to his injuries.
