A fight as big as the one between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk only comes once in a long time. This historic fight will crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999. As expected, a warning has been issued to Usyk before he meets him inside the ring.

The much-awaited fight is set to happen this February. As D-day dawns closer and closer, the fighters have started their verbal sparring. In preparation for his crucial rematch against Mairis Briedis, cruiserweight champion, Jai Opetaia strategically chose to spar with the heavyweight titan Tyson Fury to enhance his skills against an orthodox fighter, similar to Mairis. Despite Opetaia’s undefeated record, a recent tweet from IFL TV disclosed an unforeseen setback in his training. Opetaia left Fury’s camp and returned to Australia after just five rounds of sparring with Tyson Fury due to the lack of orthodox sparring partners in Saudi.
This unexpected change in training raised questions about Opetaia’s rematch preparation, introducing potential challenges. Initially seen as a valuable opportunity to refine his technique, especially given the intensity of their first encounter, the sudden shift in Opetaia’s training dynamics adds a surprising element to the narrative leading up to the upcoming bout.
